The half-life of iodine-131 is approximately 8 days. This means that it takes 8 days for half of the iodine-131 atoms in a sample to decay into a different element. After another 8 days, half of the remaining iodine-131 atoms will decay, and so on. This property of iodine-131's decay allows it to be used in medical treatments and diagnostic procedures. **

Iodine-131 is pronounced as "eye-oh-dine one-thirty-one", Strontium-90 is pronounced as "stron-tee-um ninety", and Uranium-235 is pronounced as "yoo-rain-ee-um two-thirty-five". **

Iodine-131 has a half-life of about 8 days. After 3 half-lives (24 days), iodine-131 would have decayed to more than 87.5 percent. Therefore, it would take approximately 24 days for iodine-131 to decay to more than 90 percent. **

After 3 half-lives, half of the original nuclei will have decayed in each half-life. So after 3 half-lives, (1/2)^3 = 1/8 of the original nuclei will remain. Therefore, 500,000 * (1/8) = 62,500 iodine-131 nuclei will have decayed after 3 half-lives. **

Iodine-131 has a short half-life of about 8 days, which means it decays rapidly. Therefore, one year after the Chernobyl accident, practically nothing of the leaked iodine-131 was present because it had mostly decayed into stable non-radioactive elements. Additionally, iodine-131 is water-soluble and can be easily washed away or absorbed by living organisms, further reducing its presence in the environment over time. **

After one half-life (8 days), half of the original quantity of iodine-131 will decay, leaving 50% or 39 atoms. After two half-lives (16 days), another half of the remaining quantity will decay, leaving 25% or 19 atoms. After three half-lives (24 days), another half of the remaining quantity will decay, leaving 12.5% or 9 atoms. Therefore, it will take approximately 24 days for 78 of a quantity of iodine-131 to decay. **

Class 131 is a category of goods and services for trademark registration purposes. It falls under the International Classification of Goods and Services established by the Nice Agreement. Class 131 specifically covers products related to agricultural, horticultural, and forestry purposes, including seeds, live plants, and natural flowers. When applying for a trademark in this class, the applicant must ensure that their goods or services align with the descriptions provided in the classification. **
